One Hundred Thousand Welcomes!*
On behalf of the Planning and Organizing Committees, it is our pleasure to extend a cordial invitation to you to attend the 8th Deaf History International Conference being held on Canadian soil for the first time since this triennial event began in 1991. It will take place at the Westin Harbour Castle, a landmark waterfront hotel located in vibrant downtown Toronto, the provincial capital of Ontario, from July 24 to 29, 2012. The Gala Dinner and Entertainment will be held in the Imperial Room at Fairmont Royal York, a large and historic downtown hotel. This conference will be hosted by the Canadian Cultural Society of the Deaf.
The DHI Conference 2012 is timed to coincide closely with two other big events being held in Toronto: 1) the 2nd World Deaf Athletics Championships (July 14 to 21) and 2) the 10th Deaf Canada Conference (July 20 to 24). It will be a great opportunity for everyone to conveniently meet and interact with people from other cultures and countries.
Please check this conference website often for any updates between now and 2012.
We hope that you will be an integral part of the DHI Conference 2012 in Toronto. Don’t miss out on the best hospitality Canada has to offer!
